A Labor Story!

On Satuday, October 7, I started having contractions...so I went to bed hoping they'd get stronger...and at about 4 am, I woke up having pains and a bad headache. So we decided at about 5:30 am to go to the hospital. Sure enough, I was in labor, and my contractions were 7 minuets apart! MY blood pressure was WAY high, so my doctor would not let me have any visitors...just me, aaron, and my mom. They moved me into a delivery room. And I slowly progressed, and dialated about a centimeter an hour...at about 4 cm I got an epidural. Getting an epidural was not what I thought it'd be! It HURT like hell, and for the most part, I still felt alot of my contractions...even with the magic button, that gives you an extra boost of meds...so from that point on...I tried to sleep...what I could! I did wake up frequently throwing up, and feeling BAD contractions! They were also giving me pitosin, to help move my labor along, and encourage contractions! At about 3 am my doctor came in and said she'd give me another hour to see how I progress...at this point I was at about 5-6 cm...Well, by 5 am, I made it to 7 cm...and that was it...no more!! So, My doctor finally made the decision to do a C-section...after all my Blood pressure was very high and I'd been in labor for 26 hours. So, they gave me an extra kick of epidural, and wheeled me on down to the operating room! I just laid there...I could not feel anything!! Aaron came in all scrubed up, and on went the surgery! At 6:17 am, my daughter was born! She weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz, and was 19 inches long. I cried...of course. They let aaron watch the whole thing, then after she came out, he got to hold her, and take her out to meet the family that was ever so patiently waiting. They stitiched me up, and rolled me back to my room. My mom and dad, aaron's mom and dad, and sister were all waiting there! I was soooo groggy, I don't remember to much! Everything from there was so perfect...we had a more that perfect little girl, that was all ours! After a nightmare of a pregnancy, and a hell of a labor, it was all worth it...I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.. My life is complete now...I love my little girl and my husband more that anything in the world. She really is a miracle.
